Why hire a temporary professional planner vs a permanent employee?
Planning successful events is what I do full-time. This is my business, I am not creating a job.
I have in-depth experience and all the contacts to make your event a huge success. Here's a
list of advantages for using temporary help to plan your event or meeting -
- You have no additional permanent payroll, and no benefits to pay
- It's a pay-as-you-need service - maximizing your budget dollars
- I can be a cost to your client - not to your bottom line
Are there advantages to using an
"temporary professional planner" like you?
I have extensive experience in meetings, events and general management. I don't require any training and have my own home office. My software includes Adobe Creative Suite 2 as well as Microsoft XP Professional.
I'm hired by you to make you look good.
Can I hire you for office help, as event staff or business development?
I want to be producing conferences, meetings or events. That is my skill and value to you.
How do you address client confidentiality?
Confidentiality is key to developing a long term partnership with my clients. I include a confidentiality clause in my contract to protect your interests. I will never approach your client directly to secure business for myself.
Do you actively solicit for your own clients?
No. However, if I am approached, I will qualify the prospective client to ensure that the meeting or event has not been previously produced by one of my partners. If it hasn't, I may consider quoting on the business.
Is it expensive to use a temporary professional planner?
Actually, a temporary professional planner can keep your costs down. After some initial orientation to your business, I can hit the ground running. You pay me for my time which you can invoice to your client with a surcharge. Remember - you only pay me for the time that you need me. When the workload is gone, so am I.
I like my meeting/conference done my way--how can I trust that you'll do it right?
From our first meeting I want you to feel comfortable with me. If you don't, don't hire me. I am a listener--I'll pay attention to create the event you want. Of course, I'll make suggestions when appropriate--you would expect that.
How do I know you won't waste my money?
I have extensive management experience, have managed large projects, budgets, and staff, in the corporate setting. I'm insured and come with great references.
